A clear, glowing skin is the dream of every girl and for that you need to follow a regular skin care program as well as a healthy diet. Instead of splurging on a facial at the salon, you can opt for a some natural remedies to keep your skin clear of all blemishes and glowing. There are various home remedies for skin treatment.  All you need is to know your skin type and what natural ingredients are available so as to start your skin care regime at home. These are natural facials that can be done once a week, or before going for a party or for an occasion.

Home Made Facials

Home Facials  for a Normal skin
  •  Extract the juice of half an orange or tomato. Take two teaspoons of curd and mix it with the tomato extract. Lightly massage onto your face in an upward direction. Let it dry. Then, wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. This will give your skin a nice glow.
  •  Take the inner part of the skin of a ripe papaya or the papaya peel and rub it on your face. Once dried,  wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. See what a nice glow it gives to your skin.
  • Take half a cup of cabbage and extract the juice. Apply this on your face. Wash with cool water and wipe dry.  This helps tighten your skin and prevents wrinkles.
  • Take one carrot. Grind it and take the juice out of it. Apply the juice on your face and let it dry. Wash your face when dried. You skin glows this way and you rejuvenate your skin.
  • Take the peel of an apple. Just rub the inner side of the peel in an upward direction. This is an effective skin cleanser. Once your face dries up, wash with cool water and pat dry.
  • Take an ice cube and rub on your face. Then, pat dry. This helps to improve blood circulation and keeps your skin healthy.
  • Another method for glowing skin is to boil some lemon grass in a small container of water. When cooled, pour this in the ice tray and freeze. Later, rub the ice cube on your face.
  • Beat the white of one egg and apply on your face in an upward direction. Once it dries, wash with cold water.

Home Facials for an Oily Skin
  • Take 2 tbsp of wheat flour. Add water to it and mix properly. Apply on your face in an upward motion. Leave to dry. This helps remove excess oil from your skin and gives a glowing look.
  • Take two teaspoons of raw milk, mix with two teaspoons of cucumber juice and few drops of lemon. With a cotton ball, apply the solution on your face and leave to dry. Then, wash with water and pat dry.
  • Soak two to three teaspoons of fenugreek seeds overnight. Grind into a paste, then rub on your face. Once dried, wash your face with cold water. The granular effect helps in removing blackheads, besides the excess oil from your skin. You can also store the paste and use it later. The paste remains fresh for a week.    
  • Soak two to three teaspoons of whole red gram or masoor dal overnight. Grind into a paste and apply on your face. Wash your face after some time.
  • Take a cucumber, extract the juice out of it and apply the juice on your face and leave to dry. Then wash . It refreshes your skin and give a glowing effect.

Home Facials for a Dry Skin
  • Mash half a ripe banana. Make a paste after add a teaspoon of honey with it. Apply on your face. Once it dries, wash with cold water and pat dry. This is  good moisturizer which helps to give a glowing look to your face.
  • Soak poppy seeds (khus khus) overnight. Grind it with just enough milk to make a paste. Apply on your face. The natural oil present in poppy seed helps to moisturize your skin.
  • Take little bit of raw milk in your finger tips and massage it lightly on your face in an upward motion. Wash your fact after it dries up. This helps to keep your skin supple.Make a paste of 2-5 tablespoons of raw peanuts with milk. Add little bit of honey to it. Apply on your face and wash it after some time. The natural oils present in the peanuts help moisturize your skin.
  • Take malai, little turmeric and few drops of olive oil. Make a paste and apply on your face. Wash with cold water and pat dry. Malai acts as a natural moisturizer and turmeric and olive oil helps rejuvenate your skin.

Natural Facials for Combination skin
  • Mix few spoons of Fuller's Earth (Multani mitti) with few mint leaves paste. Freeze the pack overnight.
  • Apply on your face the next morning. After few minutes, wash off and pat dry. It helps in cooling and cleansing your skin.
  • Boil few lemon grass leaves in one liter of water. Place the mixture after you get an aroma in an ice tray and freeze. Rub a lemon grass ice cube all over your face. It cleanses the dirt accumulated in your skin's pores and shuts them.
